Are you a multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer with strong electrical bias looking to work for an international manufacturer of convenience foods in a technically challenging and varied role?

As Shift Maintenance Engineer your key accountabilities will be to complete planned and preventative maintenance across the sites assets along with fault finding and timely repairs of day to day issues in order to assist operations in achieving maximum productivity and product quality.

Main responsibilities

Within your role as Maintenance Engineer you will carry out fault finding, planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance on the production line equipment to maximise equipment reliability, safety and performance. This work is completed alongside a strong CI culture and a desire to drive improvement through design out and RCM techniques.

You will adhere to equipment maintenance schedules and ensure all issues and resolutions are fully documented at all times.  At the end of each shift you will be responsible for completing the Engineering log and recording any stock removed from the Engineering stores to ensure accurate stock control.

Communication is key, so you’ll need to ensure you consult with the operations team to confirm they are fully aware of engineering activities and schedules and so that you are able to respond to internal customer needs and priorities.

Ideal candidate

As a multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer you will be a time served accredited apprentice or have equivalent experience with appropriate certification and strong electrical bias.  You will have previous experience of working within a manufacturing environment and as such will bring with you an excellent understanding of maintenance Engineering Systems.
