As a multi-specialist publisher Transworld is home to many of the best known names in books from Dan Brown to Lee Child, Bill Bryson to Stephen Hawking. And we have recently created much-loved global bestsellers such as The Girl on the Train and I Am Pilgrim through absolute dedication to teamwork, creativity, commercial acumen and commitment to quality.
We are looking to hire an Online Account Manager to manage our print and ebook relationships with Amazon, Apple and several others in the fastest growing channel in book retail. You’ll need a strong interest in online commerce, marketing and pricing, and you’ll possess real inquisitiveness into how these elements dovetail and are optimised. And ultimately you’ll be strongly motivated to drive demand for our books, and exposure for our authors through entrepreneurialism and a healthy attitude to experimentation and calculated risk.
Analytical ability and good relationship building skills will be vital in this role. Reporting into the UK Sales Director, you’ll work both in Transworld and within the Group, and your proactivity and openness to share evidenced learnings and conclusions within a matrix structure will be vital to your success. In addition to your UK and International sales colleagues, you’ll work influentially and in tandem with marketing and editorial teams and you’ll take ownership of retailer promotional marketing, merchandising and pricing strategy.
