Job Details
A major national retail group are seeking a buyer with a background of working in grocery categories.
The Organisation
You will be joining a household retail chain, known for their superb range offering and excellent value. The business has consistently invested in the training and development of their buying team, producing some of the best buying professionals in the country, as evidenced by their multiple awards and career paths.
The Role
You will have category responsibility for a designated group of specialist products. This will cover everything from range management through to margin reviews and supplier relationship management.
Working with trading and insight teams, you will timely negotiations, seeking to maintain a first class range offering at good terms.
Through your high level of organisation, you will manage your own projects and paperwork, whilst contributing to ongoing commercial projects.
The Person
You will have experience of working for a multisite retailer or grocery focused wholesaler.
You will be able to demonstrate your negotiation and presentation skills, and broad awareness of industry trends and influences.
You must be ambitious and have the desire to grow in your role, including potential management responsibilities.
