Our client is a category leader with an array of instantly recognizable brands, both in the UK and abroad, as well as a premium own label offering, giving them fantastic working relationships with the Grocery Retailers. They have achieved significant growth over recent years and are looking to leverage these relationships as they continue to acquire new brands and reposition their already powerful portfolio. As such they are currently recruiting a Senior National Account Manager. 

In this role you would be fully accountable for two Top 6 Grocery Retailers; managing the relationships; driving forward the customers vision and plan with full JBP and full P&L accountability. You will be building on a solid platform and relationship, and playing a pivotal role in achieving growth plans and strategically developing the account further. You will also pick up full responsibility for 1 Grocery National Account Manager, who will in turn have full P&L and JBP accountability.

This role is a result of a restructure to add additional senior heads into a lean sales team and start to build a structure reflective of their commercial achievements. Reporting to the Sales Director, you will be one of two grocery lead account managers across the sales team, with the gravitas and experience to lead your team and allow the Sales Director to take more of a hands off approach. The right person for this will be someone who sees the opportunity to growth their career in a well respected food organisation and continue on their journey of growth and expansion.

Successful candidates will come with a track-record of success within Retail Buying or FMCG account management in a branded environment and experience within the Top 4 Grocers would be a distinct advantage. Strong negotiation and presentation skills are essential. A genuine flair for building strategic customer relationships and multi-level networking are a must. In summary the role would give you significant exposure and profile within both the customer but also this leading food company recognised as a career employer.
