Packaging & Sourcing Manager, this newly created role is joining a highly successful and growing Beauty Brand House supporting one of their biggest fashion-lead brands.  Operating as the linchpin between the business and suppliers you’ll be responsible for interpreting technical packaging specifications/drawings, sourcing and negotiating with a wide range of suppliers to ensure COG targets are met and the product brief delivered.

Some knowledge of formulation would be really useful although not essential if you have the ability & appetite to learn. Managing the testing & trials on componentry for bulk and finished-goods, you’ll work closely with brand managers to support the smooth development of new and existing products.

As well as supplier management, you’ll also need to be aware of product trends and packaging decoration; the world of beauty is fickle and highly competitive so offering appealing and beautiful products at the right price-point will be essential to the brand’s continued success.  There will be regular travel to supplier sites for product sign off.  Essentially there is never a dull moment in this challenging and varied role. 

Previous experience within Beauty, Healthcare or similar industry sector would be very advantageous but other highly regulated sectors such as Food or Drink would be also of interest.
