A 6 month interim contract has arisen, working for one of the UK’s most successful manufacturers of premium dairy products and ingredients. The company wish to recruit an Interim Commercial Manager to help maintain their current relationship with their retail portfolio, as well as developing future opportunities within new retail, wholesale and foodservice channels. Their impressive product portfolio includes both branded and own label dairy products. The business operates and manufacturers from a number of sites across the UK and boast a turnover in excess of £500m. Over the last decade the businesses has grown by over 10% YoY, and have won a number of new customers including Sainsbury’s, Waitrose, Tesco and Asda. Following on from a recent internal promotion, the business has now created an opening for an individual to join and aid their future success.

Role

Reporting into the Commercial Director, your role as Interim Commercial Manager will be to develop profitable sales within chosen key customers through effective strategy development and execution. In addition, you will also be responsible driving profitable growth with customers through revenue development, margin enhancement and innovation. Finally, you will pioneer and or gain further distribution of core brands into new and key accounts.

Profile

To be considered for this role, you will have at least 2 years’ experience within the food industry and be able to demonstrate a good track record of managing projects that have developed commercial relationships. Branded, chilled foods or drinks experience is essential, and you should have a good understanding of the retail market place and relevant categories. The ability to develop existing and new customer relationships is key.
