National Account Manager - Grocery Multiples - Premium Ambient
One of Europe’s most successful manufacturers of branded and private label premium ambient food products have created a new opportunity for a National Account Manager to drive and further develop their presence within the UK Multiple Retail market. The European family run parent company currently turnovers in excess of £200m. Within the UK the business supplies Waitrose, Sainsbury’s and Tesco with high quality ambient food products. Following business growth, they are looking to appoint a National Account Manager to drive and further develop their presence with the Grocery Multiples.
As a National Account Manager, you will be responsible for a portfolio of Grocery Multiple Retail customers. In addition to the management of the mentioned accounts you will be tasked with developing new customer relationships across the retail channel. To succeed in the role, you must possess an entrepreneurial attitude and a desire to build the brand gain own label contracts. You will report to the UK Commercial Director, so you can expect decisions to be made quickly, as well as a degree of autonomy to drive the business.
To be considered for this role you will be operating at National Account Executive or a National Account Manager level with a proven track record of growing and developing business within the retail multiples. As for product background, experience within a branded food environment is preferred. It is important you are self-motivated and have the ability to open new trading relationships as well as build long term relationships with your customers. My client is looking for a loyal individual that wants to be a real part of the company’s long-term plans and growth strategy.
The role is home-based with an expectation to be at site one day a week in the East Midlands.
