My client are a market leader within Stationery, Office Products and Paper Products who turnover more than £500m in the UK. They have established a strong customer base across the UK market with the top 4 grocers and are looking to develop that customer base. They can offer a great level of diversity and a constantly evolving product range to sell into their customer base.
 
As Key Account Manager you will be part of the Customer Solutions Division which have 4 different sections of customers, such as retail, banking, print management companies and publishers. You will inherit an existing customer base such as John Lewis and Haymarket publishers. You will be responsible for managing and developing these accounts and generating revenue. The role will also have a high priority on new business development throughout the 4 sections of customer base, in particular the retail channel which has room for development. Retailers such as WH Smith and Waterstones are being targeted for new business.
 
In order to be considered for this opportunity you will have great sales skills, a proven track record of delivering results in a target driven environment. You must have a can do attitude, be a good relationship builder with a consultative approach. You must have a wide network of contacts within the retail sector and also have experience in managing major multiples. 
 
In terms of background you must be from a non-food consumer goods background. You may be working in a similar product category such as Stationery, Arts & Crafts or Publishing and looking for a fresh opportunity with a fast-growing company. Ideally you will already be at Key Account Manager level with a large network of contacts and a passion for new business.
