Business Development Manager - SME gourmet snacking - UK/International
Super talented Business Development Manager needed for one of the UK's fastest growing FMCG gourmet food brands
Our client is an exciting start-up that manufactures its own gourmet snacking products! Having rapidly expanded from premium independents, they've now grown their reach and mass appeal through distribution to grocery, foodservice, travel, leisure, online and International.
They like to think they make the best around and so do others having recently scooped 29 Gold Great Taste Awards, Grocer Gold Awards and a Grocer New Product Award. Seeing rapid YOY growth they are now poised nicely to drive depth into new business and reach their ambition of doubling turnover over the next 12 months.
As a key member of the Commercial team reporting to the Sales Director (who was highlighted by The Grocer as one of the rising stars in the FMCG arena), you will be responsible for new business development across a number of key channels including convenience, premium independents and International. You will take the lead on strategically developing these channels focusing not just on quick wins but long term partnerships. Identifying target growth opportunities in existing business and land new points of distribution will also be pivotal in the success of this role.
The role is office based in North London however the nature of the job will mean you're never in one place for long! You'll be out in the field in the UK as well as attending trade shows across Europe and further afield. We would like to hear from you if you are motivated, high calibre FMCG Sales Executive/Business Development Executive with a track record of developing new business in the UK and/or International markets. You'll be a candidate of graduate calibre with 1-3 years FMCG field sales looking to find a position that will give you more autonomy and freedom. You will have an abundance of drive, determination and a proven track record of branded sales success to UK markets. Please note that this is an entrepreneurial business so the ability and confidence to work independently is required. This is a genuine opportunity to join something utterly unique. A grasp of one or more European languages would be advantageous.
