Our sales, marketing, administration and sourcing teams are based at our headquarters in Midhurst, West Sussex together with an extensive showroom and a 25000sq ft distribution centre servicing the UK and Europe.

Dexam is growing its business selling its own well established branded kitchenware through B2B and B2C channels. 60% of the Dexam’s brands are our own and we need new, innovative and fresh products sourced from all over the world that bring excitement and consumer commitment.
With support from the Marketing Department, the Buyer is solely responsible for researching the market, heading the product selection process, sourcing the products and bringing these to market. The Buyer is involved in all aspects of the buying cycle: product development, range planning, supplier liaison and cost price negotiation while maintaining the integrity of the brand and achieving our B2B and B2C objectives.
This is a senior and pivotal position within Dexam with much autonomy and responsibility. Working alongside the Product Manager, the Buyer works closely with the Commercial Director and reports directly to the Managing Director.

More about the ideal person:
You will be a person with Buying and category management experience with a proven track record in non-food sectors similar to ours. You will be passionate about food and cooking and be able to apply your interest to find and source fabulous kitchenware. You will have experience of sourcing in the Far East and internationally, ideally with an existing network of contacts.
Alongside creativity, imagination and love for cooking, you will be used to taking responsibility and be able to plan and manage a project from start to finish. You are a person who enjoys a challenge and takes the initiative but can help develop and follow a plan, yet think on your own two feet. You are numerate, persistent and imaginative but careful when taking risks. You are self-motivated, articulate and reliable with great attention to detail. Experience within Housewares, Web Retailers and B2C would be beneficial but far from essential.
You will be based in our offices in Midhurst, West Sussex but home working for the right applicant living within 1 hour will be considered. International travel is a feature of this role.
Package: Basic Salary £35K - £45K depending on experience
