The business is currently looking to recruit an inspirational Head of Commercial to lead strategy and drive performance across all UK customer channels, with strong emphasis on grocery retail and convenience.
Reporting directly to the board Commercial Director, the position will be fully accountable for the overall financial performance of all customer channels with a value of £50m+. This is a highly visible role within the company’s structure, and ideal platform to accelerate your progression to Commercial Director / General Management (or equivalent) levels in reward for strong performance.
Working closely with the Commercial Director to devise and implement rolling 3-year strategy to achieve profitable growth of branded offerings, you will heavily influence overall company and UK category performance.
It is important we identify individuals who want genuine autonomy and accountability, and are confident in their ability to inspire and deliver results.
Strong leadership is key, with the ability to add value to the lives of a relatively experienced team, as well as senior level customer contacts.
Acting as the no.2 to the Commercial Director, you will often be required to deputise during busier periods and will directly manage Sales, Innovation, Category and Marketing
A strong appreciation of category management principles and product innovation process therefore will aid your ability to inspire and add-value both internally, as well as with customers.
People from all FMCG backgrounds will be considered for the role, however those with exposure to brand food/beverage manufacturing environments, and those with experience of chilled and/or frozen categories will be viewed favourably.
