As a Merchandiser at Retail Marketing you’re to take ownership of the merchandising of our client’s product within a specific geographical area. As part of the team you will be responsible for merchandising and sales within the stores in your region, ultimately increasing sales of the client’s products.
Along the way you will build strong partnerships in store and develop these with key colleagues/store managers, ensuring the longevity of brand support, brand presence and sales.
What We Expect
You’ll be acting as representative for both Retail Marketing and our client in-store, at events or any other function where you are working. A positive, enthusiastic and flexible approach to the job is a requirement, in order to keep up with the change in the market place and the constantly exciting and evolving job role.
Ensuring that a proper level of stock is maintained and that the merchandise is displayed appropriately, with proper signage and favourable shelf placement.
This includes setup, planogram execution, fronting, facing, and rotating of the manufacturer’s products.
In this role you’ll introduce the promotion by gaining agreement and support from the store managers, to secure preferred product placement, re-merchandise the product, place any relevant POS, and generate awareness and enthusiasm with employees prior to the launch of the promotion.
Good communication skills, engaging with the public and building rapport easily are all qualities of a Merchandiser at Retail Marketing; you’ll need to be able to do these things with customers & store colleagues to fulfill the role. Leaving a positive lasting impression about our client and yourself is also very important.
Conduct yourself in a professional manner as laid out in the Retail Marketing Group guide
Complete all call reporting information by COP each day, including uploading of photographs
Complete event reports and ad hoc reports as directed by your Line Manager and / or client
Complete your calendar updates weekly (and submit) as directed by your Line Manager
Collection and reporting of Data using Retail Marketing systems
