In a rapidly growing value added fresh food market my client is one of the most reputable food businesses in the UK, and is a leader across multiple categories. They provide millions of consumers around the UK with high quality food products, supplying both the UK retail and foodservice markets. Their annual year on year growth has been in excess of 10% and they have reached this figure through creating high quality products, diversification and expanding the company’s footprint. Following this consistent growth year on year, there is now a requirement for a Category Controller to join the business, managing an established team.

Role

As Category Controller you will be expected to ensure the team is delivering effective category and consumer insight and recommendations to achieve the development of the current and targeted new categories within key customers. Also you will be expected to support the company strategy to ensure my clients secure sustained profitable growth.

The successful incumbent will manage the department responsibilities across all customers and sites.  Success will be measured through customer recognition reflected in the customer scorecard, completion of category objectives, supporting the achievement of budget targets, NPD targets and delivering customer/category share growth.

Requirements

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must have a strong background within a chilled/short shelf life FMCG food environment, working within a senior category role. It is essential you are numerate, and comfortable dealing with multiple sources of data and above all a strong communicator and keen to make a difference to support the continued business growth.
