Our client is a very well established large food manufacturing business, privately owned and a leader within its field.  They produce and supply a high quality range of ambient goods that are used around the world. Their reputation for innovation, expertise and long standing relationships really makes the business stand out coupled with environment that truly values people and standards.

An unexpected role is now available to join an established team as Sales Director for their Grocery, Foodservice and International business.  This is a pivotal role within the businesses structure and the opportunity for someone to build upon the good work that is already in place.  There is an established team to lead and inspire and you will report directly into the business owner and play a key role in the business going forward.

The role

  • Be accountable for the Commercial strategy and growth within the Grocery, Food service, International and Independents sectors handling business in excess of £100m.
  • Lead, develop, mentor and support a team of 12 heads which will include a marketing element.
  • Achieve revenue targets, profitability and sales growth in lines with plans and budgets.
  • Champion commercial opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Take an active part in the senior management team and be accountable.
  • Maintain a professional image at all times building credible relationships both internally and externally

The Person

  • An experienced sales director, well trained and commercially Intune with the food sectors.
  • You will have strong track record and credible profile with the retail trade.
  • You will have a good understanding of category and marketing
  • You will be financially numerate.
  • You will have high standards a strong work ethic and moral compass.
  • You will be looking for a secure role within a recognisable business where you can settle and make a difference.
  • By nature you will be respectful and highly professional.
