UK Sales Manager
Working for a high end, low calorie, sugar free confectionery business that is launching into the UK market
My client, Chocolette, are a high end, healthy confectionery manufacturer that are bringing their exciting brand and product range to the UK. They boast a product range that has up to 45% less calories than their rivals without compromising on taste or luxury. They have a unique recipe that uses high quality cocoa beans, all natural ingredients and no added sugar, a perfectly aligned treat to the growing market that is the health conscious shopper.
They are embarking on several new and exciting ideas and items of NPD later this year, as well as their core range of chocolate bars. Working in this growing, fast paced business means you will have the opportunity to be involved in a variety of larger projects in which, the work you put into these projects will directly affect the performance of the business. Furthermore, you will be encouraged and expected to give your insights and opinion, make a real contribution every day and plot your own development.
The UK Sales Manager will be responsible for opening and managing trading relationships with major retailers and distributors in the UK. The aim is to quickly grow the UK business and establish a full commercial and support team which this person could head up once operational. The premium confectionery and health food categories are growing rapidly and this is a new brand and concept into the UK market space so this is a real opportunity to be part of something amazing!
The UK Sales Manager should be a high energy, enthusiastic individual that has experience in a fast paced FMCG company. Ideally you will have had responsibility for at least one major retailer or distributor and will have held P & L responsibility. You must be comfortable [or willing!] to get involved in new business development, as initially this will be your focus.
You will need to be comfortable working in a small team as you will be the second person into the UK business, however there are plans to quickly increase head count according to the success and results of this hire.
The ideal UK Sales Manager will be eager to learn and to expand their horizons. You will be comfortable being stretched and would welcome the opportunity to take on the diverse challenges that come from working with a fast growing business. The individual should be on a clear path of career progression that would, in turn, demonstrate the individual's same potential for growth in this business with the ability to lead a sales team in the future. When not visiting customers, this role is based in Paddington, London.
