UK Sales Manager
An amazing opportunity to be a part of a fresh produce business at the infancy phase in the UK - although this company does have an international footprint already. Homebased.
My client has a strong trading presence across the globe [turning over close to €60 million with a head count of 30] and is now looking to build a direct to retail model in the UK. They have solid financial backing and a business plan to ensure this market is a success, and are now looking for a UK Sales Manager to join them at this exciting time.
Working in this growing, fast paced business means you will have the opportunity to be involved in a variety of larger projects in which, the work you put into these projects will directly affect the performance of the business. Furthermore, you will be encouraged and expected to give your insights and opinion, make a real contribution every day and plot your own development.
The UK Sales Manager will be responsible for driving direct sales and distribution with retailers, as well setting strategy for the UK business. The view is to build a team around this person [results dependent of course] so we are looking for someone who is willing to develop and has the commercial acumen to ultimately build a business and team around themselves. There is no UK office yet so this person can be based anywhere in England.
The successful UK Sales Manager must come from the Fresh Produce category and will understand the intricacies and idiosyncrasies of this complex category. You will be highly commercial and possess the skills to build a team and business in the mid to long term, although there is support for this development if so required. You will be comfortable developing new business in the short term - as there are no direct trading relationships in the UK as of yet. Based anywhere in England.
Salary is dependent on experience, but money is not a barrier to attracting the right person for this role.
