Salary - Up to 45,000 + company car, bonus and benefits.

Location - East Midlands/East Anglia

We are currently searching for an ambitious and energetic Business Development Manager to join a leading food business responsible for sales and marketing within the UK for a selected number of specialised manufacturers across Europe. With over a quarter of a century of experience in providing quality continental food products to the foodservice, wholesale, retail and manufacturing industries the position offers a great opportunity for those passionate about sales and great tasting food!

The role of Business Development Manager will involve expanding sales within existing Foodservice and Wholesale businesses which form the core part of the business. You will also be responsible for identifying and enriching new customers within the sector and managing the relationship thereafter. It's a great product line with a highly reputable family run business.

As a successful candidate, you will have direct experience managing foodservice and wholesale accounts. It is also essential you have a background in food sales and are passionate about this industry. In return you can expect a generous base salary of up to 45,000 (flexible and very much based on experience), an extensive benefits package and an autonomous role within an expanding business with genuine career development opportunities.

Only candidates based within the East Midlands, Lincolnshire or East Anglia can be considered.

Ideally you will be tenacious, ambitious and driven - the perfect candidate will have an entreprenarial edge and drive new ideas relating to business growth in the UK and Internationally. This is a highly autonomous role where you will have great flexibility but also the support and guidance of a passionate, reputable business with a fantastic existing client base.
