Retail Operations Supervisor

The Role

This is a great opportunity for a motivated and customer focussed individual to join the dynamic retail services team at the House of Commons. The retail services department operates three shops on the parliamentary estate and an ecommerce site. 

The post-holder will oversee the day-to-day operations of the House of Commons Gift shops and lead by example, working together with the Retail Operation Managers to develop a team of Retail Assistants to provide exceptional service and achieve set sales targets.

The Person

The successful candidate will have the following skills/experience:

  • Supervisory experience in a fast-paced environment, ideally with direct line management responsibility.
  • Experience in facilitating weekly stock counts and regular full range stock takes, ensuring accuracy of sales and product knowledge at point of sale to minimise impact on overall stock take results
  • Experience of working towards ambitious targets, and the ability to motivate a sales team to achieve an overall objective
