Job Details

Our client is a business that supplies the major retailers with a branded range and also develops successful retailer brands. Group turnover is close to £600 million they have seen 10% growth in the last year – in this market that is something to shout about!

Unlike other businesses they are more versatile, focussed and ambitious. They understand the needs of their consumers and retailers and control all aspects of the supply chain to provide profitable solutions.

Due to the success of the business to date including significant distribution and innovation gains in the major grocery multiples, we now require a Head of Sales to continue to shape and develop our overall business strategy as well as win and develop our business in new channels, with a particular emphasis on, e-commerce, convenience and impulse and out of home.

Reporting to the Group Commercial Director, you will be responsible for developing the business plan and sales strategy across all routes to market. This is a new position, managing a team, which reflects the increase in strategic focus on e-commerce, out of home and other routes to market.  The role offers a fantastic opportunity for the successful candidate to develop and own a commercial strategy to drive profitable growth in 2017/18 and beyond.  

Branded FMCG experience is a must as is proven experience of managing significant accounts and teams.  In addition we need someone who is keen to seek out new business opportunities and champion and develop them internally and externally.  With exciting NPD for 2018 this is an amazing chance to develop and build the future sales strategy. 

You are likely to be a National Account Controller who is ready to step-up to their next challenge and has the desire to take their career to Director level.  With excellent commercial experience and strong Category Management, Joint Business Planning and Marketing exposure you will have a proven track record of success within the FMCG industry.
