I am working with a market leading manufacturer of catering equipment and looking to recruit a new sales person to cover their North East territory. This territory includes Newcastle, Sunderland, Middlesbrough and Darlington. As one of the most well respected names in the sector this is a fantastic opportunity to join a truly global player within the sector.
My client is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and passionate sales person who can bring energy to the role. The position will involve working alongside their dedicated dealer and distributer partners as well as selling direct to the end-users customers on patch. You will sell this market leading equipment to all areas of the commercial catering (‘HoReCa’) sector. Customers will include Chef’s, buyers, F+B managers, owner managers and design consultants.
It will be important to forge strong sales relationships with the dealer distributers and design houses on patch ensuring that they are best placed and supported to specify your product.
All candidates will need to have a culinary background of some kind, ideally having worked in a commercial kitchen as a chef or hold a chef qualification. The role will involve holding cooking demonstrations and talking confidently in front of other experienced chefs.
Ideally candidates will have experience of the sales process, perhaps selling catering equipment or food and beverage to the sector. Candidates without this will need to have a flair for sales, happy working in a target driven environment and above all be ‘commercial’. The ability to identify new opportunities and able to confidently communicate the products features and benefits is essential.
My client may look at recruiting an executive chef with no sales experience, although these candidates would need to be very commercial and have excellent communication skills, used to dealing with budgets and targets.
