The Buying and Merchandising division of Exsurgo is recruiting an Assistant Merchandiser for a retail business.

My client is looking for an Assistant Merchandiser with Horticulture or Fresh Produce experience and this role will be covering private label. You will report into a Merchandiser and also working alongside the Head of Merchandising. 

The role:

  • Identifying and selecting products/lines
  • Monitoring and reviewing sales performance
  • Processing re-orders, proposing quantities and identifying key promotional lines
  • Identifying and reviewing slower moving lines
  • Responsible for pricing in accordance with guidelines
  • Continually monitoring availability of stock
  • Liaising with Buying or Warehouse to ensure stock availability
  • Working with relevant buying teams to provide information in relation to sales, trends and slow movers
  • Identifying opportunities, replace items and gaps in the inventory with buying decisions.
  • Forecasting sales and inventory requirements to provide information for the open to buy process
