Head of Marketing - Healthy Food SME
Our client is looking for a Head of Marketing to join one of the fastest growing healthy snack brands in the UK with their products stocked in most of the top retailers in the UK, including: Tesco, Sainsbury's, Whole Foods, Holland & Barrett, among others. Having started out as two friends from University studying Physiology, they have now grown into a 4m business in the space of just 4 years, with projected growth to surpass 50m by 2020.
With their core values founded on enabling and supporting living well' they have already attracted immense interest from some big names, with investment from well-known public figures such as Sir Richard Branson and supermodel David Gandy, as well as gaining investment from 7 out of the Sunday Times top 20 investors. The team have since been inundated with press requests and featured in the Times and The Guardian, as well as being awarded the Great British Start-Up of the year.
With ambitious expansion plans in the pipeline the company have singled out this new Head of Marketing role as their most strategically important hire to date. In this role you would be taking over complete ownership of the brand, including all strategy. You will also be leading all NPD projects, with some exciting new products and flavours in the pipeline which you would be managing from the outset. Our client has built valuable partnerships in the world of business, so you will have exposure to top teams including the Chairman and Strategy Director at JWT, who are their advertising and creative agency, as well as various Unilever board members. You will also be at the forefront of their expansion into the US, Chinese and Indian markets in 2018 and be supporting these launches end-to-end. In this role you will have 2 direct reports, with further opportunity to grow a team around you as the business expands.
To be successful in this role you will have experience of working in an SME/start-up food or drink company and be bright, ambitious and willing to contribute your ideas to the team in order to take the brand to the next level. It is important to have also had experience in developing marketing or brand strategy, as well as executing it. People management would also be highly preferable. Our client is flexible on salary, for them it's more about getting the right person in, and there is equity on offer.
