Area Sales Manager - Consumer Goods - Midlands
An opportunity has arisen with a fast-paced, innovative consumer goods business well known in their prospective product category. Our client has been established for over 30 years and have a team of over 100 employees. They are enjoying a period of sustained, consistent growth and looking to continue on their successful journey. Company ethics and values are of very high importance. Due to an internal promotion, a position has become available for an Area Sales Manager to join the field sales team.
Reporting into the Field Sales Manager, as Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the Midlands territory. The customer base is already well established with several high profile existing accounts in place across the independent retail channel. You will need to achieve and exceed area revenue in-line with set budgets and promote the brand with the ability to convey an inspirational story. An element of the role will be new business development and maximizing all new sales opportunities. This person must ensure all weekly KPIs are met to make a success of the role.
In order to be considered for this fantastic opportunity, you must have some previous experience in a field sales or area sales role in a consumer goods category ideally having sold into the independent retail channel.This person must have excellent account management, negotiation and rapport building skills. Other important attributes include the ability to learn quickly, work well under pressure and have excellent communication skills.
