One of the UK's fastest growing Food Retailers who sell thousands of different products to over 50,000 customers every week are looking for a Stock Analyst to support the businesses commercial decision making, thus playing a crucial role in the next phase of their growth.
Your new role
The successful candidate will provide accurate and timely analysis of management information to support business decision making. Your main responsibility will be to continually analyse stock holding to maximise sales, profit and on shelf availability whilst controlling the value of stock the business holds. On a day to day basis you will be responsible for providing lots of analysis for everything from stock levels through to weekly, seasonal and ad-hoc reporting.
What you will need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you must be able to to analyse complex data efficiently and effectively using your excellent numerical, analytical & decision support ability. You must be able to work unsupervised whilst using your own initiative and a strong attention to detail. A good understanding of associated KPI's (product availability, stock-turn and inventory days) is essential, as is commercial awareness. This will be underpinned by excellent Excel skills as all reporting will be created in this format. A knowledge of SQL would be advantageous
