Our client is a major player in the fresh produce sector and is clearly established in the UK with strong relationships with all of their customers across retail and non-retail. Due to continued growth they are now looking for a Commercial Manager to handle their non-retail accounts.

Reporting in to the Head of Procurement and non-retail, you will be experienced in handling b2b sales and developing markets across the sector. You will be tasked with fully understanding the category by developing an insight in to the numbers and the strategic intent of the customer as well as negotiating prices and ultimately delivering the sales and profit plan.

You be handling the day to day contact and liaison with the customer as well as developing a business development strategy to fully exploit all the opportunities available. Ideally you will have produce knowledge, be someone who is tough, tenacious with strong sales skills and who will be able to make an immediate impact. It would be seen as advantageous if there was track record of dealing with suppliers and procuring produce.

Previous experience as a Trading Manager, Sales Manager, Wholesale Manager, Trading Director or Senior Trader would be ideal.

The salary is negotiable upon experience but is likely to be £50-60k+ benefits.
