About the Client:
Our client is a leading provider of a large range of products serving the garden and leisure industry. They are well established with an annual turnover in excess of £100m. They are passionate about their products, the majority of which are manufactured in the UK. With a great reputation for quality and reliability they are the go to name for their range of products.
About the Role:
You will use your knowledge of the garden centres, markets and retailers to continue to build on this fantastic brand. You will review the product ranges and identify areas where new and exciting products could have a positive impact on the business. You will enjoy working closely with NPD and commercial teams to drive the business and will be able to visit sector events to come back with fresh ideas to keep in line with the latest trends. You will use your marketing skills to ensure that the brand reaches consumers in a concise and consistent way.
The ideal candidate will have a horticulture background within a marketing/buying role. You will be very personable, driven and passionate, with a can-do attitude. You will be able to demonstrate your experience in leading a brand/category to commercial success through range reviews, promotions, POS development, market penetration and NPD. You will have a thorough understanding of the FMCG market and supply chain. Although the majority of the products are manufactured in the UK experience in sourcing/supply from the Far East would be advantageous.
To be considered for this role, as a minimum, you must have proven experience in leading a brand/category. You will need to be able to demonstrate your knowledge of the horticulture / FMCG / retail markets and be able to identify challenges and opportunities. You will be a team player and be willing to get hands-on.
Salary on offer is £35,000 - £40,000 depending on experience. Potentially some flexibility for an exceptional candidate.
