My client is looking to recruit a highly motivated, driven and passionate candidate. This role will be a mixture of following up leads and creating new business opportunities. It will involve working with and selling to the foodservice sector, end users and to catering equipment dealers and distributors in the Greater Manchester region (postcodes M, BL, OL, SK, PR & WN).

Customers will include those in education, hotels and restaurants as well as contract catering, private clubs and businesses. Customer contacts would include head and executive Chefs, buyers, F+B managers, kitchen design consultants, and business owners.

All candidates must have a culinary background and ideally a chef qualification or time served in a commercial kitchen. The role will involve giving live cooking demonstrations, so confidence around other chefs and in the kitchen is important.

Candidates will ideally have some experience of sales, but more importantly ambition and drive with good communication skills and a confidence to hold ‘commercial’ decisions. The ability to identify new opportunities and to confidently communicate the products features and benefits is essential.

Candidates will need the confidence to cook, present and sell to other Chefs and senior management; this is not a job for those that do not have an outgoing personality. It is a role that would suit people with an entrepreneurial flair for getting the job done, with drive and ambition.
