Customer Development Manager – Argos/ National Multiple Accounts

Chicco, the UK’s fastest growing baby brand

Attractive basic, bonus, car / car allowance + creative benefits package

Based: North of London

At Chicco, our mission has always been to make a baby smile, helping mums and dads in their baby’s growth journey. This hugely satisfying end result is achieved through our solid passion for excellence, research and innovation, superb quality products - and most importantly, the right people.

Part of Artsana, the Italy-based, £1.4bn international group with its own production plants across the world and an enviable portfolio of outstanding global brands, Chicco is a highly successful UK business. We have doubled in size over the last four years and are set for further growth following innovative product development and consumer engagement through above the line marketing investment. As a result, we are looking to recruit a dynamic, additional Customer Development Manager to the Chicco team.

This is an exciting and dynamic career opportunity to join a forward-thinking, consumer-trusted brand-leader, operating with experience and innovation in the Baby Care category, which is expanding rapidly.

Your remit will be to take full responsibility for a range of existing major accounts including Argos and a selection of our national retail multiple development customers.

Currently working within a large, blue chip, consumer goods branded business at National Account Executive/Junior National Account Manager Account Manager or National Account Manager level, you are looking to step up your national accounts career into a position with full customer P&L management responsibility. Your customer management experience would ideally include Argos or any of the leading grocery retail multiple or high street retail multiple accounts.

Having rapidly developed your commercial career up into national accounts, you have been well trained on modern account management processes and systems.  These should include a basic level of commercial negotiation, JBP management, together with a strong grasp of consumer insight and financial analysis used to build effective customer led business solutions to achieve new product listing, distribution gains and display quality.

Clearly ambitious, you are driven to succeed, with a focus on collaborative team working to influence the business agenda towards delivering outstanding, commercial performance, as well as achieving your own personal future career goals. If this sounds like you, the opportunity is here with this outstanding Customer Development Manager appointment as we will provide every support to allow you to achieve these ambitions.

If you feel that you have the experience, skill set and style to succeed in this role, as well as the qualities necessary to meet the expectation of rapid future career development, then please send your up-to-date CV together with benefits package details to mark@smithcarey.co.uk quoting ref MS/1896.

All direct and third party applications will be forwarded to SmithCarey.

Closing dates for applications 31st August 2017
