Our client is a blue-chip branded FMCG supplier with a portfolio of market leading brands, spanning multiple food and non-food categories. Due to progression, we are currently recruiting for the most senior Customer Manager role across the whole UK Business.

Whilst Senior Customer Business Manager by title this role is a NAC equivalent and will take operational responsibility of a £100M + Tesco relationship. Their ‘One Business’ Strategy for Tesco has seen them involved in the most innovative category solutions, working hand in hand to recognise opportunities to maintain share in the face of tough competition and deliver unique and exciting in-store shopper activations. Winning is from an attention to detail and reacting quickly to market shifts. Despite the size of the business, their focus on relationship and improving internal agility has allowed them to continually deliver absolute best in class relationships.

As SCBM you will lead a cross functional, Tesco dedicated matrix team of 17 from Supply Chain, Sales, Marketing and Category & Insights to ensure execution of the annual JBP. You will be responsible for working closely with the Category Buyers, leading top to top meetings and developing innovative solutions to ensure continued success. You will be responsible for leading the internal Tesco teams, project managing and implementing best in class NPD launches, category activation and in-store execution.

Given the complexity of the role and relationships, you will be able to demonstrate an excellent wider business understanding, with examples of working cross functionally to deliver against customer strategies and will also be have experience leading a high priority account. You will have held full P&L responsibility and negotiated JBP’s with Top 4 Grocery Multiples. You will be an excellent communicator, with negotiation and influencing skills demonstrating taking teams with you to deliver success.

Due to the seniority of the role, they are looking for an influential and inspirational SCBM to head up the 

Tesco account before developing their career within the senior leadership team. You will be excellently placed within the most high profile position in the company, offering you unrivalled opportunities to progress across the wider business.
