Excellent opportunity for a graduate with industry experience in account management looking to develop a successful career within the food industry.
My client is looking for a National Account Executive to join their growing team. This role would suit someone who has just graduated and is looking to expand on the commercial / sales experience they gained whilst on industry placement, or someone who is working in an account executive role and is looking for a new challenge.
My client has over twenty years' experience of supplying ingredients to the Foodservice Sector and they don't plan on stopping any time soon. They have strong growth plans for the future, in order to achieve these plans they need to continue growing their team.
As a business they regularly attend foodie events, to meet consumers, as well as having a fleet of vans out every day delivering ingredients in the South East and the Midlands.
This role will involve managing existing accounts as well as gaining new business. Therefore, they are looking for someone who has a hunger to achieve, someone who is not afraid of rejection, is driven by achieving and exceeding targets.
Your role will involve;
- Growing sales within existing accounts through cross-selling existing products and selling in innovation
- Forecasting and budgeting of sales
- Negotiating on price and ensuring customers receive the best customer support
- Planning and delivering development days
- Reporting on performance internally and providing feedback and insight to the innovation team to help grow the products on offer
To apply you will ideally have a degree, or equivalent, and at least a years' experience of managing national/key accounts, this experience could of come from your year in industry as part of your degree or since graduating. My client is looking for someone who is eager to learn and is commercially minded, as well as someone who has a passion for food and enjoys engaging and presenting to people. You will ideally have worked in a customer orientated environment before and be used to dealing with difficult customers.
You will also be;
- Competent at using Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Team player who enjoys working with different departments
