My client is a highly successful food business with an excellent portfolio of household brands looking to add a National Sales Manager to their team. The business have been consistently The successful candidate will have experience leading and motivating a sales team within the food or drink industry within retail or retail convenience accounts.

The Role:

  • Manage, develop and lead direct and indirect reports
  • Play a vital role in managing the client and will spend 2 days a month in their office
  • Drive Head Office agenda and interaction and communicate agreements to the Field Sales Team
  • Manage KPI performance for the team and set targets at divisional, regional and individual levels to deliver against the overall national target
  • Use data to understand team performance and areas for improvements in order to drive results
  • Build strong succession plans for future managers within the business

The Candidate:

  • Demonstrated strong organisational, planning and time management skill
  • Good  use of IT skills with MS Excel to demonstrate good reporting/analytical skills
  • Strong people development and sound judgment skills
  • Strong communication skills at all levels
  • Client contact experience
  • Attention to detail and a determination to ‘get the job done’
  • Experience of working in a fast paced growing environment
  • Ability to work under pressure to specific deadlines and demonstrate flexibility in style and approach to different people’s needs and circumstances
