The Company

Our client is a nationally recognised foodservice provider who are renowned for service excellence and supporting its customers in achieving their food strategies and commercial objectives. This has now positioned them as the UK’s ‘go to’ delivered wholesale partner across the care, education, leisure destinations and the hospitality sectors. Due to some big contract wins and ambitious growth plans, they are now seeking for a Buyer to join their commercial team.

The Role

As a Buyer, you will be responsible for taking accountability over a defined portfolio of suppliers and therefore will need to be self-motivated, able to work efficiently and independently and be an expert in Microsoft excel.  Whilst knowledge and experience of the foodservice sector would be ideal, we appreciate that our next Buyer might not be working in the industry, so we welcome applications from other backgrounds.  The main thing is being able to demonstrate that you think commercially, as well as the ability to communicate effectively.

The person for this Buyer role:

We are looking for someone who has a positive “can-do” attitude, be keen to learn new skills and have a desire to make a difference. In addition, we are looking for:

• Based in the Gloucester area
• A dynamic individual and a self-starter
• Excellent admin skills and a Great personality – positive, likeable, good sense of humour, builds relationships easily
• Embraces being accountable
• Possess the potential and desire to progress to a more senior role
