Interim Senior National Account Manager
An internationally recognised FMCG brand is looking for a Senior National Account Manager to cover maternity leave for up to 12 months. The role will be looking after the Waitrose account and managing the P&L for their branded portfolio.
You will be working in a busy team that deals with a range of SKUs and are category leaders so developing long term relationships with the buyers will be key. You will be developing long term joint business plans working alongside the controller to increase profitability and market share.
You will also work very closely with both marketing and category specialists to take advantage of promotion and pricing strategies to help with the sales calendar. Your role will be covering the national sales strategies for Waitrose and will need an understanding of both a strategic and tactical nature.
The role will need someone as soon as possible and it will be predominantly office base which will be in the Southern Home Counties.
This internationally recognised FMCG organisation has products which are considered market leaders in their category. Over the years their innovation department has brought to market a number of new products that has allowed them to stay ahead of the competition.
To be successful in this role it is essential that you have the following skills:
- Strong FMCG commercial skills from within a food and drink business
- Extensive experience of managing grocery multiples
- Strong P&L experience
- Strong relationship skills with senior buyers
- The ability to work out of the office four days a week
- Good financial acumen and the ability to work out JBPs
- Experience of working with blue chip clients
