Craft Beer Business Development Manager - London
London is littered with craft breweries operating out of railway arches and tiny industrial lots. Whilst this is something that makes our capital’s beer scene so great, it’s not so good for growth and upscaling, as any renters/first-time buyers will be well aware – space is one of London’s most precious commodities. My client brews their good stuff all the way up North (somewhere just short of Castle Black) and have been constantly growing since they started – they’ve just bought another 4 x 16,000l fermenters and a brand-spanking new £1m canning line. They’re also growing in headcount and are now looking for 2 beer lovers to come on board and help them infiltrate London.
You will be assigned a patch of London to cover and will be responsible for managing existing outlets as well as developing business in the On Trade (restaurants, pubs, bars…). Whilst your primary duty in this role will be sales, there will also be a lot of consumer/trade education and so a deep knowledge and understanding of the product, and industry, will be required. In this role, you will be provided with support and development from the Sales Director and will have the unique chance to grow with a fantastic company.
To be successful in this role, you will need an interest in the beer industry, particularly the craft corner (beard and tattoos not a pre-requisite). You will need excellent organisational skills and will have an enviable resilience. You will enjoy networking and will be a strong relationship builder and prior FMCG sales experience is desirable, especially in the On Trade.
Whilst we would like to respond to all our on-line applicants, regrettably we are unable to do so due to high volumes we receive. If you've not heard from us within two weeks, unfortunately on this occasion your application has been unsuccessful.
