Associate Director / Customer Development Controller (Top 4 Grocer)

What you become a part of

We have an opportunity to lead the agenda for the UK arm of the World’s biggest retailer with one of the world’s top brands. You will have the opportunity to create, develop and lead the strongest customer team in the industry whilst being a highly influential decision maker within our business.

This is an incredibly high profile role both within our business and with our customer and as such we would love to hear from people operating in the FMCG industry as a Associate Director / Customer Development Controller preferably in the Grocery Channel.

Reporting in to the Director in the Home Channel you will have P&L responsibility for the business unit which will be delivered through a team of account managers. This position has responsibility to set the strategy for the customers in order to maximize volume & profit growth, taking accountability for the full end to end customer relationship and P&L, and influencing across the business accordingly.

What to expect

As a highly effective leader, you be expected to lead not only your own team, but also to influence across the wider CCEP business (supply chain, Reveue Growth Management, finance, marketing, field sales).  You will thrive on delivering results through your people, constantly coaching, developing and building the capability of the team.  You will be accountable for establishing a customer strategy, then delivering it through developing, negotiating and implementing Joint Business Plans which meet and exceed CCEP’s sales and profits targets.  You will also be accountable for delivering projects and initiatives across the channel, influencing your peer group and the wider business in order to drive change.

What we expect of you

We are looking for candidates who demonstrate total accountability, constantly taking the initiative to improve performance.  You will be expected to anticipate the needs of your customer and deliver on them in a way that engages both them and your internal stakeholders. You will be able to influence and collaborate across your own team and the wider CCEP business in order to develop and drive sustainable growth plans. You will be a role model in terms of open, honest and impactful communication, and you will be able to flex your style according to the situation.  As the leader of a business unit within the largest channel in CCEP, we expect that you inspire those around you, and that you demonstrate the values of diversity and inclusion when leading your team.

Application

If this role is of interest to you please upload a recent copy of your CV and a member of the Talent Acquisition team will be in touch.

Company

We manufacture, sell and distribute the products of The Coca-Cola Company and selected other beverage brands in Belgium, France, Great Britain, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway and Sweden.

Other bottlers in the Coca-Cola system look after the rest of the world.  Sound complicated?  Let us explain…

The Coca-Cola Company own the brands, develop new product ideas and produce brand marketing and advertising campaigns.  For example, when you see Coca-Cola adverts on TV or on a billboard - that's what they do.

As a bottler, Coca-Cola Enterprises buys syrup concentrate from The Coca-Cola Company, and combines it with other ingredients to manufacture the products.  We also market, manufacture and distribute beverage brands independent of The Coca-Cola Company in selected territories. Coca-Cola Enterprises works with customers in Western Europe to get all of these products to market for consumers to enjoy.  When you are in one of these countries and see a Coca-Cola truck or a new Coca-Cola promotion in your local supermarket - that's what we do.

Coca-Cola Enterprises has more than 13,000 employees across our business, from supply chain and commercial teams to corporate functions like finance and human resources, contributing towards our goal to always "be the best beverage sales and customer service company".
