Our client is an internationally recognised drinks business achieving high double digit growth operating within the fastest growing category of the drinks sector. With an objective to continue on this high growth curve they have created a new Category & Space Planning Manager, with a clear remit to develop the core range and merchandising principles and planograms for EMEA; embed the use of this internally and with distribution partners to identify ways in which to further accelerate growth.

This is a broad role where you will lead the application of category management principles in EMEA to identify customer/consumer insights to strategically position the business. This will be within the principles of the perfect store (space, range, merchandising, primary and secondary placements) across all key channels, for all countries. Additionally, you will act as the ‘early warning radar’ for the EMEA teams, using their insight and understanding of category and competitors to flag areas of concern in key markets as part of the monthly business reviews.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 year experience working in FMCG business within a Category, Space Planning, Merchandising or Shopper role. You will have a strong understanding of customer needs and be able to anticipate and deal with objections to achieve results. If you are highly adaptable to a rapid changing environment and have the desire to learn how to work in a small, dynamic and non-corporate environment, driven by fast decision making, not processes and systems then this will be for you.
