The Role:

As Merchandiser, you will be responsible for and provide advice on layouts, product range and planograms to retailers across our network. This will involve extensive site visits and working with key stakeholder to ensure our high standards of merchandising are maintained.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide assistance and advice to retailers and managers on all aspects of merchandising and related systems.

Carry out site visits to ensure the best standards of merchandising are adhered to and comply with Company Planograms, Food Hygiene Regulations and Health and Safety Requirements.

Assist with the costing, planning and implementation of store makeovers, merchandising days, full refits.

Carry out price checking to ensure adherence to the price book.

Review and maintain Sales Floor and Merchandising Layouts for all sites.

Develop and maintain and effective relationships with key stakeholders and partners involved in the merchandising of our stores.

Ensure orderly maintenance and control of surplus shop fittings and equipment held on MRH Retail premises and with third parties.

Carry out a variety of project work including the assessment of new products, services and equipment.

Set high personal performance standards in terms of Health and Safety specifically ensuring that staff and contractors working on behalf of the department are fully accredited and do likewise.

Requirements:

Previous Merchandising experience, ideally within an FMCG environment.

A genuine interest in retail.

Good communication, analytical and interpersonal skills.

Attentive to detail.

Proactive approach to problem solving.

Strong interpersonal skills.

Flexibility and enthusiasm.

Ability to work accurately within strict time deadlines.

Skills:

Excellent computer skills (Including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook).

Full Clean Driving Licence.

Please note, due to the nature of the role, working away from home at least 3 nights per week will be required, as well as possible weekend/overnight work.
