We are currently recruiting a Category & Insights Manager to join our insights team in Dublin on a permanent basis.



In Dublin and Antrim (Northern Ireland), we have our Franchise and Operating business and are in the Top 15 Suppliers of Food & Beverages in Ireland. This is an organization with roles in Commercial, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain and Logistics. We ensure that people living in Ireland are no strangers to PepsiCo's portfolio of juice, food, snacks, carbonated and non-carbonated beverages. Our brands are the Iconic brands 7UP, Pepsi Max, Lipton Ice tea, Tropicana, Naked, Walkers, Doritos and many more Snacks, Juice and Soft drink brands, which enjoy strong positions within the marketplace and are loved by consumers throughout the geography. Insights are incredibly important at PepsiCo. We're constantly analysing and tracking trends and opinions on a range of different topics. We need to make sure we're delivering what our customer and consumers want right now, and what we think they'll need in the future.



The purpose of this role is to define and lead category management strategy across key customers in the ROI & NI managing all range reviews whilst maintaining category objectivity. The suitable candidate will partner with the Head of Marketing/Sales/Controllers/CAMs across all category, shopper and customer initiatives to ensure maximum return on investment from every category partnership investment.



Principal Accountabilities:
  • Deliver Growth by setting category strategy and agenda across all strategic customers ROI and NI, delivering category growth for formal and informal category partners in Crisps and Snacks, Juice, and the Hot Cereals category.
  • Build and own next-generation suite of sales support materials, including Visual Aids and Selling Decks, supporting Accounts Executives.
  • Create Efficiency by Maximising return on investment from category partnerships working to ruthlessly prioritise initiatives which deliver genuine category growth.
  • Define the promotional strategy of the company and support Key Accounts on prioritisation and execution of effective promotional plans.
  • Best-in-class insight provision through monthly and ad-hoc reports and analysis, including Situational Analysis, Top Line share view, Must Win Battle scorecards, monthly performance trackers, etc.
  • Managing, negotiating and building strong relationships with external agencies and suppliers including market data agencies (Nielsen, Kantar, Dunnhumby, Talysis), maximising ROI for the company.
  • Drive Future Success by integrating robust shopper insights into key business processes which include Strategic Business Plan, Annual Operating Plan, Situation Analysis and new product meetings.
  • Leading and delivering the launch of NPD in our customers through compelling selling stories
  • Leadership and development of the Category and Insights team with 1 direct report. Coaching, motivating and close follow up of deliverables and responsibilities.


Essential Skills:
  • Highly motivated and experienced operator with FMCG industry experience, with specific numerical and analytical strengths
  • A significant amount of experience in the consumer packaged goods/FMCG industry, with some of this in a people management capacity
  • Experience in leading a Category Management and Category/Shopper Insights team - preferably in a multinational FMCG environment
  • Ability to think broadly and manage complex and competing strategies
  • Strong written and verbal presentation skills
  • Experience in promotional analysis
  • Super-User of key insights tools (ie Nielsen, dunnhumby, space management tools)
  • Comfortable in managing key stakeholders internally and externally
  • Experience working cross functionally with key department heads (ie Customer Controllers)
  • Comfortable setting Insights/Category agenda and setting priorities for self and team

Salary: €55,000 - €70,000 + benefits , DOE
