Senior National Account Manager/ National Account Manager

Our client is a leading food business based in Hertfordshire and a key supplier to the UK multiple retailers. They are now seeking an outstanding individual to manage one of their premium accounts and help drive the business forward as part of their continued expansion plans. 

Key Responsibilities

  • To manage a large dynamic national account on a day to day basis
  • Maintain and develop existing and new key relationships.
  • To deliver projected product sales and volume growth.
  • To ensure a comprehensive working knowledge of pricing parameters for all product ranges and varieties.
  • Develop and maintain customer business plans.
  • To work across multiple internal teams, collating and managing information to drive and exceed sales expectations.
  • Explore opportunities to develop product lines and be in tune with customers through regular review and analysis of product ranges and qualities.
  • Develop and write customer business plan, agreeing anticipated activity/volume levels and percentage split for all products by line detail.
  • Negotiate prices, volumes and values with customer on a weekly and seasonal basis.
  • Track market share, articulate position and reasoning.
  • Plan promotional activities, understand procurement availability and agree pricing structures.

Knowledge & Experience

  • At least 3 years Account Management 
  • Experience of the fresh produce industry & must be conversant with the workings of the multiples.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with internal and external personnel.
  • Proven experience in sales negotiation and influencing key personnel.
