Summary

A unique opportunity to lead the commercial agenda for our entrepreneurial off-shoot Weetabix On The Go (drinks). Reporting the General Manager for the WOTG business unit, you will manage a small team with accountability for sales, channel planning and category vision for this important and high growth portfolio within the Weetabix family.

A family owned business until 2003 and PE backed until recently, Weetabix Food Company is now a subsidiary of Post Holdings Inc. a US based consumer packaged goods holding company listed on the NYSE.

The Role

Since launch in 2014, Weetabix On The Go drinks have really taken off with 50-100% growth each year. In 2016 we sold c18million bottles and by the end of this year it’ll be nearer 30million. The brand and portfolio are supported with strong marketing budgets (including TV) and we’re innovating all the time with new flavours, new packaging, new formats and new ingredients, including a very popular protein range. As with all of our products, WOTG aims to deliver a nutritious healthy start to the day and we’re proud to say that each bottle contains all the fibre, energy and protein of two Weetabix with  semi-skimmed milk.

As the result of another internal promotion at Weetabix, we are looking for an ambitious, talented business development orientated sales professional to join our management team. Leading one NAM and a Category Manager you will take a “player-manager” role and work closely with the GM, Head of Marketing and colleagues across all other functions. You’ll also be part of wider sales leadership team and be responsible for championing the WOTG portfolio across the wider commercial team, and with our customers.

The objective of the role is very clear; distribution, distribution, distribution. Despite all our success and growth to date, there are still so many more retailers and shoppers that are yet to see and try our fantastic range. So we’re looking for an experienced sales leader (probably at SNAM or Controller level now) with great knowledge of the grocery, impulse and convenience channels to drive new business with new customers and additional listings, space and distribution with existing customers. The people that work best at Weetabix have been trained and developed in well recognised, branded FMCG companies but want the chance to move into a less bureaucratic, more nimble organisation where decisions are made locally and people are passionate about making a difference.
