The Company:

My client are known for their innovative and creative products within a number of categories such as Party Supplies, Gift Packaging, Stationery, Cards and Accessories. The company have come a long way from one person creating products on their kitchen table to an international brand who grace the shelves of some high end retailers such as John Lewis, Waitrose and the White Company.

The Position:

  • The Key Account Representative manages the commercial relationship with existing large and multi-site customers as well as proactively contacting clients to maintain a consistent high level of service delivery.
  • The candidate will also engage in business development activities in UK/EU to expand profitable business opportunities.  This position will also be responsible for maintaining an exceptional customer experience throughout the UK/EU region. 
  • Other duties include the management of our European tradeshows, including liaising with suppliers, staff and other departments to ensure the smooth set up, operation, and completion.
  • The ideal candidate will be a generalist with sales experience looking to make a career move into an expanding company, someone who is well rounded and who will be invested in the company’s growth. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent the company with a positive and friendly attitude
  • Attend sales meetings for large/important accounts
  • Oversee & execute tradeshow events and operational preparation
  • Engage in business development and business prospecting activities
  • Be role model for decision making in the UK Sales office
  • Understand customer compliance requirements
  • Ensure customer satisfaction (problem solving)
  • Make sure orders are handled in a timely manner
  • Follow up on pending issues/orders promptly
  • Keep customer’s information private and secure
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

 

 

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years’ customer service and/or direct marketing experience
  • 2 years’ direct customer sales experience
  • Tradeshow management experience
  • Strong business process acumen
  • Exceptional analytical skills
  • Strong computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Buying experience – nice to have
  • SAP B1 (or equivalent) systems experience helpful
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Shows strong initiative
