In 2015, on average, the UK consumed 5.88 litres of distilled spirits per person. Those gin and tonics and cocktails we all love are slowly taking over, and it is a great thing. My client has been a major player in the promotion of some of the world's most famous spirit brands, as well as boasting an outstanding selection of their own to match.

The company is a luxury spirits company who pride themselves on holding an enviable spirit portfolio. They take great pride in working with brands of heritage whilst constantly developing their own portfolio to keep up with the ever changing on-trade capital of the world, London. Due to growth and expansion, they are currently looking to recruit and On-Trade Brand Specialist to further develop their portfolio within independent free trade, regional groups and local retailers.

In this role, you will be responsible for handling on-trade sales on your territory, gaining new listings, cocktail menu development, pouring rights as well as hosting training days and events. You will be working closely with wholesale customers, helping to drive distribution whilst growing a portfolio of independent specialists within your territory. With a finger on the pulse of the on-trade market, you will follow key trends, new openings and key players as well as be present at industry tastings and events.

To be successful in this role you will have a passion for spirits, wine or beer, as this is the cornerstone of their business. You will be commercially-minded with proven new business sales experience. You will have prior experience in a trade sales role, working within either hotels, bars, restaurants or clubs. You must be an excellent communicator, a team player and actively enjoy building strong relationships across the trade. You will also need to be based in London for this roles and most importantly be an all-round great human being!
