Daily account management for a defined portfolio of trading outlets within a given geographical area. Description
  • Daily account management for a defined portfolio of trading outlets within a given geographical area.
  • Development of existing customer account base, maintaining profit margins, monitoring & management of credit control and undertaking administrative duties in accordance with Company policies & procedures.
  • Achieve agreed business objectives within timeframes issued and in line with company goals, with a particular focus on growth of sales, margin and distribution targets.
  • Meet or exceed sales objectives and sales and revenue targets for the assigned territory
  • Promote and sell both Core & Portfolio products through professional sales techniques and long-term customer relationships within the IFT marketplace.
  • Improve customer offering via introduction of Brand representatives, POS materials & Brand Investment Support, Trade Events and general promotional activity, both internally & externally sourced.
  • Display & utilise category knowledge and implementation (consumer insights and occasions, brand knowledge, competitor knowledge).
  • Display enthusiasm for continuous improvement in all aspects of role, developing account base by increasing market share and maximising all revenue opportunities available whilst preserving the highest levels of customer service.
  • Build effective trading relationships with key decision makers ensuring successful management & development of existing customer return while continually introducing new business to the Company.
  • Strengthen relationship with customers via consultative selling approach with product, placement and promotional advice across full portfolio available.
  • Successfully present business presentations to customers including portfolio selling, profit awareness and category management benefits.
  • Actively develop and optimise journey plans and ensure call cover plan for all customers within territory, ensuring 100% coverage over rolling 6 week period while adopting and implementing call objectives & post call execution.
  • Establish regular contact with all customers, on a mutually agreed day & time, to develop and increase both volume and range within outlet, while maximising the profit opportunity within each product category.
  • Introduce new products and target brands to both new & existing customers while ensuring all negotiated promotions and visibility drives are fully in place for specific periods in all outlets of nominated key customers.


Profile
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to sell effectively maximising a full portfolio of products.
  • Ability to influence, negotiate and build relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Good commercial acumen exhibiting strong ability to analyse numeric & analytical data.
  • Exhibit strong problem solving characteristics and creative thinking.
  • Ability to recognise customer issues and develop viable commercial solutions in response to opportunity.
  • Ability to maximise resources through effective prioritisation, time management and organisational skills.
  • Team player who is comfortable working on own initiative.
  • Results driven approach.
  • Ability to adapt to varied, demanding & ever changing workload.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and provide 'on call' support & assistance out with standard office hours.
  • Secondary education with a minimum of 9 GCSEs at grade C or above (including English & Maths) or equivalent
  • At least 3 years' experience in Brewery / FMCG sales role.
  • Full driving licence held for more than 12 months.
  • Competent IT skills primarily Microsoft Outlook / Excel / Word / PowerPoint
  • Ideally located within 30 mile radius of Sales territory.


Job Offer

£25,000-£29,000 basic, plus package.
