On-Trade / Route to Market Controller – Premium Spirits

This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the UK’s fastest growing, premium spirits businesses. As experts in brand development they have brought to market a number of the UK’s best known alcohol brands. As a company they are highly entrepreneurial and have excellent relationships in place with the country’s top On-Trade retailers and Route to Market partners. Their portfolio has expanded significantly to include a number of award winning gins, rums, whiskeys and speciality liqueurs. The business is now looking to recruit a talented Route to Market Controller to lead a team across both On and Off Trade channels.

As Route to Market Controller you will take ownership of both On and Off-Trade Wholesale channels. You will be responsible for the implementation of the overall channel strategy whilst managing a team of National Account Managers and Business Development Managers. You will be heavily involved in the relationship with top tier customers and be targeted with growing volume, turnover and profit for core, third party and own label brands. You will have the opportunity to structure and define your team, with a view to expand this moving forward.

To be considered for this role it is essential that you have a mixture of team management and national accounts experience within the Route to Market Channel. Those who lack Off-Trade experience but have excellent contacts within the On-Trade will be considered. Ideally you will have insight into both private label and branded products as well. Candidates with a background in premium spirits will be preferred but those from other drinks categories are still encouraged to apply. It is important that you have an entrepreneurial spirit and are able to make decisions autonomously. Excellent negotiation and influencing skills are also a must.
