About our Client:

This exciting, international business has been around for 10 years and has achieved phenomenal results.  Having established themselves as a serious player in their category, they are now looking for a National Account Manager to work with the SD and develop the team across their off trade/grocery channel.  Having built a great offering, they have already created an excellent team and now want to add a significant national accounts expert to continue their fantastic success.

The National Account Manager will work will work closely with the Sales Director using their knowledge of the grocery channel to develop the already successful relationships to a more strategic level.  There will also be responsibility for the development of the existing National Account Executives in the team who are pushing for a manager who will show them the way.

This is an additional hire to the business and therefore a significant opportunity for a talented and ambitious person to really make a difference.

You need to come with a good knowledge of the grocery channel from either one of the large FMCG blue chip businesses or from a wonderful artisan company where you are more hands on, but where you will have been well trained and able to demonstrate success across the channel. 

Food or drinks experience is preferred but please don’t rule yourself out if you come from a different category – come and have a conversation. 

About You:

  • Proven experience of building, launching and growing brands in the UK
  • Experience of working with the grocery channel
  • Used to working closely with marketing and category teams
  • Some mentoring or man-management – experience of developing and working with people to enhance their skills and therefore add value to the business
  • A great all-rounder with a passion to take this role and make yourself invaluable
  • Ability to work in a small team and inspire those around you. You’ll be at the front line and as such will be asked to get involved!  Teamwork and collaboration.
  • Able to think about how quickly the business is growing and continue to develop and create new and exciting ways of keeping up with the growth.  – Be passionate about your own development in the company.
  • This is a fast-paced role and nothing stays the same, you have to embrace change and be able to work at pace.
  • Understand the numbers and can make commercial decisions based on sound category advice.
  • Experience of a blue-chip FMCG business, either currently or previously will really support what the company are looking to get to.
