Internal Audit Officer

Salary Circa £35,000 (dependent on experience) + Car

The Society is looking to recruit a suitably experienced Internal Audit Officer. The individual will have a proven retail audit experience (especially in food retail), you will understand all of the factors that influence stock loss and shrinkage. You will be familiar with accounting practices, business principles and internal control concepts and have the gravitas and interpersonal skills to build credible relationships at all levels.

The successful candidate should be able to:
• Communicate, both verbally and in writing, to all levels of
the organisation.
• Possess sound organisational skills.
• PC literate in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Adaptable to system and procedural changes in a fast-moving retail environment.
• Have a flexible approach to work.
• Possess a clean driving licence.
• Skilled investigator of losses and potential risks
• To have an analytical and methodical work practice to ensure all relevant areas of the audit process are covered.
• To be self motivated, requiring little one on one supervision.

You will report directly to the Financial Controller & Secretary. Benefits will also include staff discount scheme and a defined contribution pension scheme.
