Do you want to be the driving force behind a farm to fork brand entering into the UK Grocery market?

The Company

Export Trading Co. Ltd (ETG) is globally recognised as one of Africa’s largest Agricultural Corporations, with footprints in sub-Saharan Africa, North America, Europe, Middle East and South East Asia. ETG have an impressive business model that enables them to source and purchase commodities including pulses, lentils and rice at farm gate level before distributing to the global market. As a Group, their current turnover is $3bn, with Vamara, their business and consumer facing vertical contributing a turnover of $150 million.

The Opportunity

The UK division, set up in 2011 has had exponential growth in the last six years. Their core brand Naturz is currently turning over £6m, stocked in over 100 independent stores across the UK as well as being present in 10 European countries. Naturz has also become the trusted brand for pulses and lentils within the catering industry, working closely with chefs to create a range of innovative and delicious recipes!

The business has a 5 year plan to take ETG UK to £25million, starting with breaking Naturz into the UK grocery market. This will be followed closely by the launch of an exciting new brand to the UK – Freshpikt! Freshpikt’s product portfolio consists of a range of jams and spreads, chili and tomato sauces, paste & purees and baked beans.With this in mind, they are seeking an exceptional Grocery National Account Manager to help ETG UK achieve these goals!

This is a strategically important role at ETG so your key focus initially will be with their Naturz brand. The role will see you winning and developing accounts with the Top 4 Grocery retailers, Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Asda and Morrison’s. Responsibility will also include managing a number of existing key national accounts. This is a huge opportunity to drive sales as well as introduce products and a new brand which have yet to penetrate these markets.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience in managing National / Key accounts within the FMCG sector with a proven track record of successfully managing P&L.
  • Experience of building and implementing JBPs with the top 6 multiples, most importantly with Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Asda and Morrison’s.
  • A strong work ethic, with an ability to work autonomously and an appetite to deliver strong sales results.
  • Ambitious and driven with strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
  • You must have a successful track record of launching brands/products in the UK Grocery market.
