Interim Category Controller (Mat Cover) – London

Gü was launched with 3 products in 2003 and now with a current portfolio of over  40 top notch products that are eaten somewhere in the world every 2 seconds.  A fabulous story of pure genius and a brilliant team of people with ambitions and plans to take Gu into more categories and eating occasions.

Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will support and work with our external customers and internal Sales/Marketing functions to help drive mutual category growth in-line with our company objectives through the implementation of category initiatives, delivering detailed insight and presenting to our key customers.

You will:

• Manage 2 direct reports
• Structure your team with direct account responsibilities ensuring regular client  meetings  to drive category growth
• Build and sustain relationships with key retail contacts
• Use insight to influence range and merchandising plans throughout the year including category reviews
• Deliver in store excellence
• Work with Sales & Marketing teams to provide detailed analysis and insights on category & customer opportunities Provide ongoing analytical support in the development of category & customer plans Play an instrumental role in our future NPD plans
• Work with the internal team to meet company targets & brand growth

ABOUT YOU:

• Educated to degree level
• Previous FMCG customer facing experience & a track record of relationship building & results delivery within retailers through category management,
• A data source expert with great analytical skills and a good working knowledge of key data including Nielsen, Dunnhumby, SelfServe data etc.
• Excellent communication, presentation & influencing skills
