National Account Manager

Our client is a manufacturer and supplier of premium, deliciously indulgent, bespoke cakes for the UK Foodservice market.

Scout & Maven have been instructed to identify a National Account Manager to join their buoyant commercial team

Reporting to the Sales Director, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to influence the sales direction of the company by bringing understanding and experience of the market place, to develop new market opportunities and so maximise sales and profitability.  
You will work closely with all departments including NPD, technical and production to ensure continuous improvement throughout the business. 
 
Key Attributes and Experience

  • Previous experience of the UK Foodservice industry and experience within the bakery or sweet categories would be an advantage.
  • Possess the ability to hold business reviews at all levels of the customer accounts from board level down. 
  • A proven track- record of growing business within large accounts within the UK Foodservice sector. 
  • Experience of managing large National Accounts including end users, major wholesalers and restaurant groups.

Responsibilities

  • To build multi -level relationships with key customers across departments to understand and benefit from working closely to key decision makers within the customer accounts. 
  • Develop accounts to secure and deliver on appropriate business opportunities in a timely and commercially viable method. 
  • To seek out new business opportunities through horizontal business sectors suitable to the category and business competencies.
