Procurement Coordinator | Kent

Our client is looking for an experienced Procurement Coordinator to join their established team. Our client is one of the leading suppliers of fresh produce to the major UK retailers. The business is a growing, innovative environment and this role would suit a candidate looking to work hard and progress.

The Role

Working in a large business dealing with a product that requires an agile and innovative Procurement team.
Support the Procurement team, liaising with suppliers on volumes, packing plans, packaging requirements and confirming weekly programmes.
Monitoring supply from growers on a daily basis and reporting variances to plan.
Liaison with the Sales team on weekly supply vs customer requirements.
Coordinate with Logistics and Supply Chain team on loading requirements.
Running weekly accounting, preparing any claims and account sales.
Prepare end of season reviews and work on future procurement plans with the Procurement team.

The Candidate

Excellent interpersonal skills being able to communicate well with other members of the team with the ability to lead and work as part of a team.
You will be able to demonstrate evidence of being in a comparable role preferably in a soft fruit sector.
Ability to identify needs and issues and recommend suitable and pragmatic courses of action and solutions, adopting a risk aware approach.
Good time management and organisational skills with the ability to handle a number of tasks at once and meeting deadlines as required.
Business Spanish would be an advantage.
